Withdrawal from the contract
You have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires fourteen (14) days after the day on which:
- you, or a third party appointed by you who is not the carrier, physically receives the goods;
- you, or such a third party, physically receives the last item, where several items ordered in one order are delivered separately;
- you, or such a third party, physically receives the last lot or piece, where the goods are delivered in several lots or pieces; or
- you, or such a third party, physically receives the first delivery, where the contract provides for regular delivery of goods during a defined period.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by a clear statement of your decision to withdraw from the contract. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you submit or send your withdrawal statement before the withdrawal period expires.
1. How can I withdraw from the contract?
You can exercise your right of withdrawal through our electronic withdrawal function:
The electronic withdrawal function is available without a customer account and can be accessed directly through the link “Contract withdrawal” in the footer of our online store. It remains available throughout the applicable withdrawal period.
After you submit the electronic withdrawal statement, we will send an acknowledgement of receipt to the email address entered in the form without undue delay. The acknowledgement will include the content of your withdrawal statement and the date and time of submission.
Alternatively, you may withdraw from the contract by emailing info@umutoys.de and clearly stating that you wish to withdraw from the purchase contract. To help us identify your order, please include your name, email address, order number and the products concerned. Use of the electronic withdrawal function is not mandatory.
2. Returning the goods after withdrawal
You must send back or hand over the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen (14) days from the day on which you inform us of your withdrawal from the contract.
The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen (14) days has expired.
Please wait for the return instructions and, where applicable, the return label before sending the goods. The return warehouse address may differ depending on the country and the selected return method.
Please return the goods complete, including all supplied accessories and available documentation. If possible, use the original packaging or other strong and suitable packaging to ensure that the goods are not damaged during transport. Use of the original packaging is not a condition for exercising the right of withdrawal.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
3. Refund after withdrawal
If you withdraw from the entire contract, we will refund all payments received from you for the order, including the standard delivery costs of the original order.
If you withdraw only from part of the order, we will refund the purchase price of the returned products. The original delivery costs will be refunded only where required by applicable law or where those delivery costs relate exclusively to the returned products.
Additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery method offered by us will not be refunded. This includes, in particular, express delivery, premium delivery or similar delivery upgrades.
The refund will be made using the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any additional fees for the refund.
We will refund you without undue delay and no later than fourteen (14) days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from the contract.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
4. Return options and costs
You have the following options for returning the goods:
Return label arranged by us – we will provide a return label, which you must print and attach to the return shipment. Depending on the country and service availability, the parcel may be handed over to the carrier or collected by a courier.
Price list for return shipments arranged by us:
- Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Austria and Germany – 5 EUR
- Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Croatia and Liechtenstein – 8 EUR
- France, Estonia, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Romania – 10 EUR
- Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Greece – 13 EUR
- Finland, Norway and Sweden – 16 EUR
If you select a paid return method arranged by us, the applicable return shipping cost shown for the selected country may be deducted from the amount to be refunded.
Return arranged by you – you may send the goods back using a carrier of your choice and at your own expense. Our support team will provide the appropriate return warehouse address after receiving your withdrawal request.
If you return the goods without using a return label arranged by us, or if you use another shipping provider on your own initiative, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
5. Exceptions from the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply in the cases provided by applicable law. This includes, in particular:
- goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised;
- sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if the seal has been removed after delivery; and
- other goods or contracts for which the right of withdrawal is excluded by mandatory consumer law.
For regular UMU Toys products that do not fall under a legal exception, the statutory right of withdrawal applies according to the conditions stated above.

You may use the electronic withdrawal function “Withdraw from the contract” in the footer of our online store. Alternatively, you may use the model form below and send it to us by email. Use of this form is not mandatory.

Statutory liability for defects
- The statutory rights relating to defective goods apply.
- The statutory liability period for defects is generally two (2) years from receipt of the goods.
- The statutory liability for defects applies to defects for which the seller is responsible under applicable law.
- Normal wear and tear, damage caused by improper handling or use, improper storage, failure to follow instructions, or damage caused by the customer is not considered a defect for which the seller is liable.
